Suggestion Therapy
A therapy tailored for the specific problem that a person may be encountering.
This therapy under normal circumstances only requires one or on occasions two sessions.
Suggestion therapy is normally used for simpler problems such as smoking, relaxation, examination nerves, nail biting etc.
Analytical Therapy
Often called Hypno-Analysis or Psychoanalysis. Analytical therapy is a very successful therapy that requires participation from the client. In general people under hypnosis find it easier to talk about problems/issues they may be encountering. Analytical therapy deals with the cause as opposed to
suggestion therapy which controls symptoms in simpler problems. As therapists we understand that for a symptom to occur we must have a cause linked to it. Analytical therapy seeks to find the cause and remove it, once removed the symptom also will cease to exist as it will no longer have a cause attached to it.
As this therapy is of a complex nature it requires under normal circumstances between 6 and 12 weekly sessions of 50 - 60 minutes duration, however the average person completes therapy in approximately 8 sessions.
Therapy for Children
Children have proved themselves very responsive to therapy when suffering from a wide range of problems such as eating disorders (Anorexia/Bulimia), bed wetting (Enuresis), behavioural and school problems etc.
Provided the child is of 7 years or older and can attend with one or both parents (who will be asked to take part in the therapy) then therapy can be successful in a number of cases. Where children are concerned we use a very limited form of Analytical therapy called The Blow Away Technique combined with suggestion therapy for change and well being.
This technique was designed specifically for use with children and consists of one 50 - 60 minute session.
